The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it is investigating the Nissan Murano's fuel tank, following reports that the tank is vulnerable to puncturing from road debris. Approximately 124,000 Muranos will be part of the investigation. The NHTSA is looking at the SUVs from the 2004 and 2005 model years. Nissan was forced to recall 140,000 Muranos last month for an unrelated problem involving wiring. Source: http://www.cars.com
