The Audi AG has launched an Audi Q7 concept car that is equipped with a petrol-electric hybrid engine. The environmentally friendly 4x4 could come into production in just three years time. The Q7 is Audi's first off-roader. It is due to go on sale in Europe by the middle of 2006 and will be available initially in a 4.2-litre petrol V8 engine, or in a 3.0-litre diesel engine. Other options will be available further on down the track. The hybrid will be equipped with the 4.2-litre engine combined with an electric motor. Audi was quick to say that it will not definitely produce the Q7 hybrid and it is just a concept for now. Source:
