Volkswagen's newest car, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 will sport a 16-cylinder engine producing 1,001 horsepower, a carbon fiber body, all-wheel-drive and a 1.24 million dollar price tag. VW purchased Bugatti in 1998 and has yet to produce a retail car under the name. Though the Bugatti did not receive much fanfare after its public debut at Laguna Seca Raceway in California, VW believes it has perfected the car. During the 2003 introduction the car had an estimated top speed of 250 mph, but the engine was said to overheat due to its large size. Volkswagen plans to build a four-door version of the Bugatti in the future. Source:
