Ants Eat Away Hospital Patient’s Eye A diabetic woman receiving treatment in a hospital in eastern India lost one of her eyes after it was nibbled away by ants on Sunday night. The woman apparently screamed out in pain while the ants devoured her eye but was told by nurses that it was normal to feel pain from the infection. Hospital superintendent A. Adhikary told reporters "It's not uncommon for ants to attack diabetic patients. We have set up a committee to investigate the unfortunate incident". Source: today.reuters.com
