Vaikoon Boonthanom, 22,from Bangkok died from head injuries received from a 20kg barrel hitting him on the head while participating in a "Fear Factor" event organised by GMM Grammy and named after the U.S. show. The man was lowered by a rope to the ground after not being able to hold on to the barrel being hoisted up in the air by a crane, when suddenly the barrel came falling down right on his head. Police so far have ruled it a accident and the crane operator is the one at fault. Source:
