The cost of oil has dropped to a four-month low to below US$57 per barrel today. US Crude dropped to US$56.82, the lowest price since the 1st of July. London Brent dropped down to US$55.15. Over the last 11 weeks, oil has dropped by US$14. An economist in Sydney, Australia, said: "People have relaxed because of the mild weather in the northern hemisphere, but with prices trending in the middle of the long-term average... my feeling is that people may just be whistling in the wind..."
