Sadie Hester, 82, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, was attacked and bitten by a kinkajou, a rare racoon-like pet that had escaped from its owner. She had gone out on her porch to see what her dogs were barking at the night before. "I went out there Saturday morning about 8 to clean up the porch because they'd torn everything up," she said. "I thought whatever it was, was gone. I never saw him." The kinkajou landed on her, wrapped his tail around her arm, and began biting her. "He kept biting my hands because I was trying to pry his teeth out of my hands," she said. "I just kept trying to get him off, and he tore up my left arm pretty bad." The animal was taken by her son to a veterinarian to be observed for rabies. Source: hosted.ap.org
