Shares in Google Inc. have broken through the US$400 barrier yesterday, gaining almost US$100 since the company posted excellent results for the quarter. The shares rose US$5.30 yesterday to finish the day at US$403.45 per share. Google has an average daily volume of shares of 5.3 million on the Nasdaq Stock Market. When the company first entered into public flotation 15 months ago, shares sold for US$85. Market capitalisation for Google has reached US%119 billion. This is ten times that of General Motors.
