In a verdict with similarities to the OJ Simpson trial actor Robert Blake (72) has been found liable for the death of his wife despite being found not guilty in his criminal trial. The jury ruled 10-2 that he intentionally caused her death and 9-3 that her surviving children should receive a financial settlement of $30m, an amount that would financially ruin the star. Blake was said to be his own worst enemy with jurors reportedly hating him on the witness stand where he was combative and ‘out of control.’ After the shock verdict Blake and his lawyers left the courtroom without comment.
