Skype Technologies SA has announced that it will be selling its broadband phone gear in some 3,500 RadioShack stores across the United States. Skype has some 66 million customers, though most of them are in Europe and Asia. The retail move will be aimed at raising Skype's profile within the US, coupled with the company being acquired recently by Internet giant eBay for a whopping US$4.1 billion. Skype VP Saul Klein said: "The retail pact with RadioShack is Skype's first general distribution deal with a retailer anywhere in the world.
