Land Rover has announced that more than one thousand Discovery 3s, Ranger Rovers and Sports because it needs to check parking brakes and jacks. The problem with the brake is dangerous, as it can show that the brake has been applied when it hasn't. The fault is caused by a sub-standard component in the system. The second recall involves 200 coil-sprung Discovery 3s which can become unstable when lifted for a wheel change because they have been fitted with the wrong jack.
