Two sisters, 11-year-old Sarah Chamberlain and 26-year-old Mary Chamberlain, were injured when a giant balloon in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade snagged a light pole and the light assembly came crashing down to the street striking them. Luckily, the sisters weren't seriously injured and are said to be “doing just fine.� Sarah had to have nine stitches on her head and older sister Mary, who was in a wheelchair, got a bump on her forehead. “We just count our blessings that they weren’t seriously injured,� their father said. They don't plan to sue because it was just "a freak accident." Mayor Michael Bloomberg said it will be looked at to see what changes need to be done for next year. Source:
