PORTLAND, OR - Reno, Nevada resident William Swanberg, 40, has been jailed and is charged with the theft of up to $200,000 dollars worth of Lego building blocks. The suspect allegedly sold the hot toys on a web site located at
http://www.bricklink.com. Swanberg's method of operation was quite simple. He would enter a Target store, switch the barcode on an expensive Lego set with the barcode of a lesser expensive Lego product. He was caught by security at a Portland area Target store. Police found 56 Star Wars Lego sets as well as 27 other Lego sets in Swanberg's car. A laptop computer found in his car contained mapping software showing several Target store locations in various states. Swanberg remains jailed on $250,000 bond. Source: abcnews.go.com
