Dunkin’ Brands, a U.S. based fast food company, has been sold to Thomas H. Lee Partners, the Carlyle Group and Bain Capital for US$2.43 billion, pending regulatory approval. Dunkin' Brands consists of the Dunkin’ Donuts chain, Togo’s sandwich stores and Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlors and is owned by parent company Pernod Ricard SA. “The sale of Dunkin’ Brands, within our expected timetable, is excellent news for Pernod Ricard as it allows us to accelerate the reduction of our debt,� said Pernod Chairman and CEO Patrick Ricard.
