Following 12 years of talks, Saudi Arabia has finally been welcomed into the World Trade Organization (WTO), meaning the WTO is now a 149-member organisation. The membership will be confirmed in 30 days. Saudi Arabia currently has extremely restricted trade sectors, which will be opened to world markets and every member of the WTO, including Israel. Not everyone within Saudi Arabian politics is happy with joining the WTO. Source: news.bbc.co.uk |
