The Chrysler Group has announced that it will begin producing minivans for the Chinese market in the city of Fuzhou. The Group will licence South East Motors Inc. to manufacture the minivans. Tom LaSorda visited China just two weeks after being appointed the President and CEO to review the company's plans for the booming market in China. DaimlerChrysler has a joint venture with the China Motor Corporation and Fujian Motor Industry Group. The joint venture is called DaimlerChrysler Vans (China) Ltd. and is already responsible for producing the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the Vian MPV. Source:
