A baby girl born to a poor family in Korba town in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh is fighting for her life and requires surgery soon after she was delivered with her heart located externally, between her neck and collar bone. She was found to be holding her heart in her right hand, which surgeons have already separated. Her parents are too poverty-stricken to be able to fund the operation to relocate her heart and it is feared that she will die. "Surgery is the best option to insert her heart and fix it at the right place. There is a strong possibility of the heart getting infected, so a quick operation is needed." a government doctor reported. Source: today.reuters.co.uk
