Nintendo has announced a drop in its first-half operating profit of some 51 per cent, citing reduced GameCube sales for the plunge. The company has not changed it's full-year forecast despite the news. Full-year profits are expected to be affected by the price cut of the Nintendo DS, the portable gaming machine the company launched just last year. Also, the company should be hit by the release of Microsoft's Xbox 360. Source: today.reuters.com
