PAOLA, KS - A Kansas Supreme Court has ruled to re-sentence a man that has served 5 1/2 years of a 17 year sentence for sodomy. The decision will allow the convict, who was released this month, to spend the holidays with his family. Matthew Limon was serving a 17 year sentence for having sex with a 14-year-old boy when he was 18. The court was moved to lessen Limon's punishment because it was felt that his homosexual preference led to a stiffer sentence. If Limon has been convicted of having sex with a female rather than a male, his sentence would not have exceeded 15 months. Limon was residing at a home for the developmentally disabled when the crime was committed. Source:
