In a speech due to be held in Maryland, US president George W Bush will outline his administration's plans for Iraq troop withdrawal for the very first time. The strategy will be available in a single, unclassified document. The document has been called the National Strategy for Victory in Iraq and has been announced just days after the White House stated it is preparing its troop reduction to go ahead next year. Currently, 160,000 US troops are serving in Iraq. On Tuesday, President Bush said: "We're going to stand squarely with the people of Iraq and help them develop a free society." It is expected he will be making more speeches on Iraq, as the country will be holding elections in December. Source: news.bbc.co.uk
