Stephen Colbert will be staying on Comedy Central through to 2007, following the cable network ordering a whole year's worth of "The Colbert Report" -- a politically satirical spin off from Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show". Since it started three weeks ago, "The Colbert Report" has been able to hold on to 86% of "The Daily Show"s audience with an average nightly audience of some 1.2 million viewers. "The Daily Show" has also increased its audience since "Colbert" aired. On whether Stewart would appear on his show, Colbert joked that "His shadow is dark enough. I don't want to ask the source of darkness for help. I'm not interested in that same liberal claptrap... We're going to deal with truth on my show." Source: news.yahoo.com
