My niece and nephew graduated this month (out of state) and sent announcements. I had planned to send each a little money but we've been hit with all sorts of expenses lately (car problems, doctor bills, etc.) and I have absolute NO extra money. Every bit of it is budgeted.

Is it ok to just send a card that says congrats...we love you?

Absolutely. It is TRULY the thought that counts.

If you don't see them or talk to them very often, you might consider writing each of them a letter and enclosing it with the card. You could express interest in their future plans, etc. It might be a bit more "personal" than just signing a card and your caring for them will come across even if you don't have the funds for a gift.

That is just fine!
They will understand.
And a card is better than nothing.
Sorry to hear you are having a tough time, hope it works out soon!

Totally ok! Announcements have turned into gift fishing lately so it's perfectly ok not to send one, but just to recognize the accomplishment.

Of course!

Good wishes are really what's behind all gifts anyway. And, I'd rather get a card than nothing because at least you know the sender cares.
