At least 208 people have been killed after Typhoon Rai hit the Philippines on Thursday.

On December 20, 2021, theSLOTXOBBC reported that Super Typhoon Rai which has a wind speed of about 195 kilometers per hour that devastated the Philippines Causing about 3 hundred thousand people to evacuate for safety

The Philippine National Police reported that At least 239 people have been injured, while another 52 are still missing in a natural disaster that rescuers have dubbed the However, the true number of the missing is yet to be confirmed. due to communication problems in many areas

There are also concerns about landslides and flooding. This will result in the death toll skyrocketing.


Philippine Red Cross president Richard Gordon told the BBC: Many areas have no electricity. Can't communicate, water is scarce, conditions in some areas are not different from being bombed. It's worse than it was during World War II.
