Is it right for a preteen to dress emo?

I dont like how the other girls dress. Girly to me is like hell. And jocks is too… wierd lets put it that way. I mean all my friends call me emo and they say I listen to emo music Alesana Escape the Fate My Chemical romance AFI etc and so they consider me emo. I barely know what emo is but this is my definition: Actually a music genre but people consider it as a fashion and/or lifestyle. Consists of skinny jeans band tshirts graphic tees converse or vans and wild hairstyles. Usually colored black or spiked in the back. Usually depressed or just an outsider. Music is the most important thing there… and thats all. Do you think I should be allowed to be emo? I mean i know its a stereotype but still… Or what age should you be emo? I think its really cool cause it consists mostly of music so… what do you think? and no hate comments please… those kill me. XP
Ive tried a lot of other styles and they didnt feel like if they were for me. :s and I tried emo first and it definetaly felt like me I wasnt sure so I moved on…. And I cant hang out with them cause they are reallr really really rare here. So : oh well

Emo pronounced /imo/ is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington D.C. where it was known as emotional hardcore or emocore and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace. Your a preteen so your just starting to figure out who you are and what you like. Just dress your age you dont have to dress up a certain style.

Besides you dont want to be caught up in the emo cast. I used to hang out with them in 9th grade and it took me 2 years to shake off the emo title. And I was never emo to begin with

Its a type of sensitiviness towards something in like with a Punk background MCR and AFI arent Emo by the way… Emo is more like crappy bands like Dashboard Confessional Secondhand Serenade Rites Of Spring Mineral Sunny Day Real Estate Hawthorne Heights Underoaths album The Changing Of Times Brand New Senses Fail Embrace I Hate Myselftype i hate myself to a husband at war on Youtube and many many more of the crappiest artists with little to no talent.
Emo is the heart of Emotional and saying I HATE MY LIFE FOR NO REASON Ive known like 100 Emo Kids and they all acted the same……….

Do you still want to be Emo?
