Is it weird I do not hang out with my friends outside of school?

I am live across the city from my school. So all my friends live next to each other and I live like 20 minuets away from them. I know it does not seem that far but it is a hassle to get to there houses.

But on the weekends I dont hang out with them or after school. The last time I hanged out with someone after school was like 6 months ago.

But I do go to social events. I go to friends parties at night. But the thing is I do not enjoy going to the parties. Its just boring. Everyone just hooks up and all the guys act like tools.

Is this a weird teenage behavior?

I do the same go to school speak to people but on the weekends I make time for myself. Some people just dont need or find it necessary to hang with someone every moment of their life. Consider it a good thing since you dont have to rely on everyone to keep you company. As long as you dont shun people from your world but based off what you said you dont.
