Your glycemic index is a measurement of the effects of carbohydrates on your blood sugar. Basically, if it is really high all of the time, you are eating to much sugar, which can lead to complications and illnesses like diabetes. But being too low is not good either. In terms of weight loss, not eating too much sugar is a good idea, and cutting carbs completely out of your diet is a really bad idea (glycogen is the only form of energy your brain can use, and it mainly comes from the carbs you eat). Try switching to complex carbohydrates (like whole wheat things- they fill you up more, so you eat less). If you really want to lose weight, burn more calories than you put in your body, and make sure the calories you put in really count to help your health. Good luck!
