i want to have fun but idk how w/ a protective parent…ADVICE NEEDED?

posted in Society & Cultures |

there hasnt Been anything i have said or done to not have my moms trust…its almost like she is paranoid of having a teenager. anytime i ask her to spend the night at my friends house or anything regular teens think is fun the answer is always no when it always used to be yes. im a good kid w/ good grades. i dont do drugs and im not really into boys and i do most of the things she asks me to do w/ a good attitude i guess you could call me a goodiegoodie 😛 and i really want to have an open relationship w/ my mother but it almost feels like i cant when she doesnt trust w/ being on my own…what can i do to let her know she doesnt have to be over protective parent.

Whenever youre out somewhere when you come home tell her EVERYTHING everything except the stuff that would make you sound like a bad kid…what i mean is just make it look like you tell her everything so she is convinced that you do. Make her BORED from telling her EVERYTHING. Ask to have your friends over to your house and make sure that they behave well so that your mom knows that theyre good kids.

my advice is to talk to her..
if you want more freedom show that you are responsibel
and dont feel like you have to hide things from her
the truth is only reason why she is protecting you
    is because she loves you

you cant really do or say anything to stop your mum from being over protective. Its not a matter of trust she is just worried that her young daughter might engage in anything that may harm her. My parents are over protective too but i came to accept it. They are just scared about us because they love us so much. Keep being a nice daughter to your mum and soon you will prove to her that you are a good and responsible teen and hopefully she will get over some of her worries. Good luck.

Talk to her about itkeep doing what you are doing maybe call her when your at your friends house like once before you go to bed tell her you love her stuff. My parents are overly protective to but its because they love me. It seems to help letting them know your plans ahead of time checking with them to let them know your safe. Good luck:
