The future has always been scary. And its OK to let your kids know the future is scary.

But dont ever let them see you scared.

I think your teacher is bachelor so she doesnt know and you also not mom yet kids are not really scary but a huge responsibility and makes you adjust and sacrifice everywhere in your life first 56 years if somebody cant hold that little responsibility then its definitely scary.

But after all we all were kids and after the scary part we all get one beautiful result :

And of course they are the future too

Yes. And it should be a wake up call to parents. Youre raising the people who will eventually be responsible for this country. And most dont seem to care.

She used to be a teen…most grow up sooner or later and the ones that grow up sooner are usually the ones that go far in life and have more power if that makes sense.
    So not really that scary.

Not really I mean the adults that live today were once kids right? Just like them well grow up and perform different functions in society. When the time comes for us to act as adults we will be ready for the job mentally and physically. It has been like that always.

Yes kids are the future. They will eventually make the decisions that affect us all. It has always been that way and always will and yes it is scary. Look at what the younger generation has done to the social security and Medicare systems. Bankrupt them and denied certain health care to their elders. It continues to get worse as the young pretty much treat the old as the old once treated the young. Not a very good cycle that we find ourselves in and the disconnect between parents and their children is widening. Sure the parents had successful careers and made lots of money and such but when that money starts to run out the kids dont want anything to do with their parents. So they tuck them away in some nursing home and turn a blind eye to the abuse that goes on their. They also resent the amount of time and money they have to spend to put on airs and make a caring impression.

It is true there seems to be a lot of media about how the future is uncertainfor many reasons. Whether it be current events: economic weather related etc. However its also important to keep it all in perspective. What can you do? Can you make an impact in your life and others to make sure that the future is not too scary?
Reality suggests we can only control what we can….therefore what can you do? You are reaching out and engaging others in discussionthat is something that you have done So what now? Can you keep talking …. talk with your parents about your feelings and concerns. There may be some questions that can not be answered….but you can ask them
It may help to talk about your feelings sometimes….and you or even others that you know encourage your teacher too… to call the Boys Town National Hotline at 18004483000. We have counselors available 24/7 and we talk to kids/teens and parents all the them about various issues. We want to be a support to you Take care and let us know how you are doing when you get the chance. Take a look at our websites too…there may be some links that are helpful too.

Probably but maybe parents should do better jobs at raising their kids. I mean if parents are scared of the future then obviously they arent doing their jobs right. Teens today get pregnant do drugs steal and get into all other kinds of trouble. Parents need to be tougher on their kids and spend more family time together.
My oldest brother is an architect my second old is a video game designer and my third oldest brother is going into medicine. Were a poor family but my brothers studied hard and we had a very close family. My parents were strict enough that we dont get into trouble but they let us follow our dreams. Kids really need to get reading so they can find their calling and do good with their lives.
Now an old friend of mine isnt in such a lucky situation. Even though her parents are rich they never spent any time with her. They ended up divorcing. I dont know if she still does but she used to steal and drink. I still talk to her now and then but I think she is lying to me when she says she doesnt drink anymore.
Kids need a strong family that is there for them and parents that are strict enough so that kids dont get into bad situations.
Im 16 and I hope I can help this world. I want to rehabilitate animals back into the wild or something to help wild animals. I know it doesnt seem like something that would help humans but it will in the end.
