Just curious how much weight is acceptable to lose per month. I’ve heard too much weight loss(that is, rapid weight loss) can result in a loss of muscle. Is this true?

yes it’s true that when you lose weight quickly the lost weight would be mainly water and muscles. this is because the body fat needs longer time to burn. and when you stop the weight loss diet you will gain the lost weight again but it wont be muscles !!
the best way to lose weight is through eating regular healthy meals. avoid fats and sugars, control the portion size of starchs, increase veges and drink lots of water.exercise for 30 min/ 5 days/week
healthy weight loss program depends on your actual weight. an obese person tend to lose weight more than an overweight. but in general 1 – maximum 2 pounds/week
