How do I ask my parents for birth control?

Question by B.: How do I ask my parents for birth control?
I’m a teen, and I live with my dad, but I don’t want him to flip out if I ask for birth control, I need it to help with my periods:/ i’ve had a boyfriend for seven months now, but I don’t want him to think I’m asking cause of sex or something. How can I ask him without getting a negative reaction?

Best answer:

Answer by mssteele
well when you are on your period i would suggest for u to make it look like your cramps are so bad you have to stay in bed. So then say to your dad you looked up medications that can help with cramps, and say that birth control helps with that.

Will going on depression meds put me in a zombie like state?

Question by Ezra Alix Turner: Will going on depression meds put me in a zombie like state?
I think I’m depressed, not very depressed, I go in and out of moods and I cried about 2 times this week. I wanted to avoid depression medicine, as my mom said that it makes a person zombie like, and she didn’t want me on them. Now I’m at the end of my wit, I’m tired of this shit, I feel I need the medication. But does it really make a person Zombie like, or want to commit suicide?

I haven’t tried zoloft, but since the very first lexapro tablet I ever took, I have never had an orgasm again. Now i’m emotion-less. I don’t like it. I just want to fee OK. Captain ?etard™ ~~~ I feel like my medication is making me cold and emotionless?
I started taking Geodon and pristiq about 4 months ago and ever since then I just feel so emotionless. Like I can’t feel anything at all. I just feel like I’m drifting through life with no love and no purpose. I don’t know if it is the med’s or not but I suspect that they do have something to do with it. I didn’t take either of my them today and I gotta say that I’ve felt like sh*t all day. I did cry for the first time in a long time tho and that felt good. Anyway, would you recommend that I wean off of them slowly or just quit them as soon as possible. I’m just so sick of feeling nothing and always being in a mental fog. Any advice is appreciated. I don’t feel any highs or lows either. No happiness, sadness or anything. ~~~ by Ferris. I wish I knew. They ruined me. I want to sue. ~~~ by Rwrwrwr This is my opinion and what I would did and did do… As soon as the side effects were worse than the depression I stopped. I think the meds themselves have made me worse. Sexual side effects ruin your life. They dont tell you how important that is. Its also common that after going off SSRI’S that youll have suicidal thoughts. When therapy doesnt work you feel hopeless. ~~~ The drugs used to treat depression have wide range of side-effects. Those side-effects are ranging from extreme weight gain to sexual coldness (which is as serious as to bring couples on the verge of divorce) and irreversable parkinson like neurological diseases. Although psychiatrists often mention that they have drugs to prevent some of those side effects people should always bear in mind that these drugs prescribed for side-effects of antidepressants too have their own individual side-effects and this’ll eventually become a real dead-end street for them.??????? National symbol

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is the national flower of Malaysia, called Bunga Raya in Malay. Introduced into the Malay Peninsula in the 12th Century, it was nominated as the national flower in the year 1958 by the Ministry of Agriculture amongst a few other flowers, namely ylang ylang, jasmine, lotus, rose, magnolia, and bunga tanjung. On 28 July 1960, it was declared by the government of Malaysia that the hibiscus would be the national flower.
The word bunga in Malay means "flower", whilst raya in Malay means "celebration". The hibiscus is literally known as the "celebration flower" in Malay. The red of the petals symbolizes the courage, life, and rapid growth of the Malaysian, and the five petals represent the five Rukun Negara of Malaysia. The flower can be found imprinted on the notes and coins of the Malaysian ringgit.

Uses
Hibiscus flower preparations are used for hair care. The flowers themselves are edible and are used in salads in the Pacific Islands. The flowers are used to shine shoes in parts of India. It is also a pH indicator.China rose indicator turns acidic solutions to magenta/dark pink and basic solutions to green. It is also used for the worship of Devi and especially the red variety takes an important part in tantra. In Indonesia, these flowers are called "kembang sepatu", which literally means "shoe flower".
Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is considered to have a number of medical uses in Chinese herbology

Genetics

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is one of many plant genera with a genetic characteristic known as polyploidy, in which there are more than two complete sets of chromosomes, unlike most other species including human. Polyploidy is a condition where the phenotype of the offspring may be quite different from the parent, or indeed any ancestor, essentially allowing possibly random expression of all (or any) of the characteristics of all the generations that have gone before. Because of this characteristic, H. rosa-sinensis has become popular with hobbyists who cross and recross varieties, creating new named varieties and holding competitions to exhibit and judge the many resulting new seedlings and often strikingly unique flowers. To add to the genetic opportunities, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis has been successfully hybridized with the cold-hardy Hibiscus moscheutos and several other North American Hibiscus species, producing cold-hardy hybrids (see cold-hardy Hibiscus cultivars).
Often the progeny of these crosses are sterile, but some are fertile, further increasing the complexity of variability and the possibility of a virtually unlimited number of eventual Hibiscus rosa-sinensis varieties. This further attracts the hobbyists, who have created local and international associations, societies, publications, and manuals to further this hobby, which is practiced with these tropical plants worldwide, including indoors in cold climates.

..wherever the five fingers touched they left five little black marks, all close together. You can see them on any Leopard’s skin you like, Best Beloved. Sometimes the fingers slipped and the marks got a little blurred; but if you look closely at any Leopard now you will see that there are always five spots — off five black finger-tips.

‘Now you are a beauty!’ said the Ethiopian. ‘You can lie out on the bare ground and look like a heap of pebbles. You can lie out on the naked rocks and look like a piece of pudding-stone. You can lie out on a leafy branch and look like sunshine sifting through the leaves; and you can lie right across the centre of a path and look like nothing in particular. Think of that and purr!’

What should I get my boyfriend for Christmas?

Question by Em: What should I get my boyfriend for Christmas?
We’ve only been dating for a few weeks, but have been good friends since the beginning of the semester. I still don’t know what to get him though. :/ I was his Secret Santa within our group of friends, and I got him a onesie (haha that he actually wears every night).

He has a good sense of humor, and really likes music. He’s really picky when it comes to his clothes, so I don’t think I can get him anything there. :/ I have a budget of $ 50, at the most though. :( I’m a pretty broke college student, after all.

Any ideas? :/ Thank you! :)

What is the best way to get rid of pimples on your sholders and chest?

Question by Kayla M: What is the best way to get rid of pimples on your sholders and chest?
Recently i’ve started to notice that i’m getting acne on my chest and sholders alot more, i want to try and get rid of them before summer rolls around and i have to wear a bathing suit.
It’s really embaressing, and i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas or tips on how i could get rid of them?

Best answer:

Answer by Princess Molly
I would recommend using acnefree or some time of acne cleaner, and use it on the areas. Also, get some oxypads, and put vinegar (Yes I know this sounds weird but it works!) On them and wipe them where you have acne.

Hopefully it helps :)
