Question by Charlie: Can you still use music tracks on youtube if they are less than 30 seconds long?
You know that youtube has had this big crackdown on copyright and stuff? well i read somewhere that you can still use a music track if it has been limited to 30 seconds.

Is this true?

Try it. Strictly speaking, uploading copyrighted content back onto the web (into the public domain) is regarded as unauthorized copying. That is what the copyright owners object to and why they are putting pressure on YouTube to mute/delete offending videos.
YouiTube was originally set up for home videos – the mass of teens choosing to upload copyrighted songs was never forseen
