Answer by I have issues Because there is no punishment. I was pregnant at 17 and I will admit, I thought well, it’s ok, I will manage – I will get a house etc etc. I don’t think girls realise until they are older how bad it actually is. In America people have to stand on their own 2 feet a lot more and if you don’t work, you don’t have food. Over here, the country will look after you whilst you do nothing. I am probably gonna get thumbed down, but I am being honest about what I thought when I was 17

Question by kitkat: A question for teen moms who now have kids atleast 10 years old?
Now that you are older what are your thoughts on teen parenting? Would you recommend it? Did you find that the nay sayers were correct?

Answer by stay@homemomma My mom was a teen mom when she became pregnant with me. She was 19. she had also been married since she turned 18. Her and my dad have been married for 27 years now. I know she loved having her kids so early. Now she is in her 40s and gets to be a grandmother and loves it. My grandmother was the same only she got pregnant when she was like 16. She gets to be a great grandmother.
BTW – totally not saying go get pregnant as a teen so you can be a young grandmother or great grandmother.
I think my mom is the exception not the rule. She made her choice consciously and never regretted it for one minute.
Honestly being in my mid 20s – I couldnt imagine being a mom 5-10 years ago. I am a different mom now then i ever would have been then.

Question by Sheldon: Where can I talk to gay teens?
I am confused about sexuality and I would think it would be fun or at least helpful to talk to someone my age about it. I am 14 and a gay male, and I don’t want to go to chat rooms with creepy old men, I went a mature young person like me to legitimately talk about my situation. Are there any online groups or safe chat rooms that I can go to? Someone please help. I feel desperate!
