South Stacks island (Welsh – Ynys Lawd) and lighthouse, Anglesey, Wales, UK
The South Stack Lighthouse has warned passing ships of the treacherous rocks below since its completion in 1809. The 28 m (91 ft) lighthouse was designed by Daniel Alexander and the main light is visible to passing vessels for 28 miles, and was designed to allow safe passage for ships on the treacherous Dublin – Holyhead – Liverpool sea route. It provides the first beacon along the northern coast of Anglesey for east-bound ships.
It is followed by lighthouses, fog horns and other markers at North Stack, Holyhead breakwater, The Skerries, the Mice and at the north-east tip of the island Trwyn-Du.
Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse and tour the engine room and exhibition area. The lighthouse is open seasonally. (Thanks to: Wikipedia)

Question by : advice for a teen girl to go to homecoming dance alone?
I have a friend who was going to go to the dance with me, but she bailed! Now I am going to go alone because none of my other friends are going what do I do? I really want to go to the dance.

Answer by Uta Just go alone, you’ll have fun. I am completely friendless and boy-less after a bad drama fight and haven’t recovered. So the best thing to do? Go to a dance. You could try finding people at the dance or asking around who’s going before hand although going alone shows confidence. You are also more approachable if you are alone (if you are looking for a guy to dance with). I’m a senior and I regret that this will be my first and last homecoming. Don’t let your self-conciseness get the best of you. In the end you were there and you’ll make fun memories. Plus social butterflies go to dances so you’ll end up meeting new people.

I want to lose from 20-25 pounds. I had planned to do this at the end of the summer. Got distracted and can’t remember which weight loss plans I had found. Would like suggestions from any Yahoo people.

Answer by Gia Franceska I’ll share with you my personal weight loss program, but this is something that I’m comfortable with, ok? If it doesnt suit you, then you must stop and try other techniques.
Breakfast: Just cereal. I advice oats, to make you digest your food intake for the whole day faster.
Brunch: carbs, protein and veggies here. just the right amount. not to full, but not starved. drink a glass of water first.
During lunchtime, I walk around the office, go up and down the stairs, etc. for about 30 minutes.
Snack: Anything light. Avoid sweets. Good thing I dont have sweet tooth. I dont even like sodas. Just juices.
Dinner: just half of whatever you used to have. if you used to eat a plateful of pasta, go for just half a plate.
I exercise (hiphop abs) 4x a week for 45 minutes.
I lost 18lbs in less than 2 months. Don’t look for the quick result, dont starve yourself and dont over-exercise.coz you’ll just gain back the weight easily. Gradual weight loss stays 😉
