Advice That Will Help You Become A Better Cook
There has been a resurgence in home-cooking as a way to save money and to cut down on expenses. Cooking large meals and freezing leftovers can be a great way to stretch the family food dollars. This article can help you to save money by helping you come up with new ways to cook common foods.

If you find a great buy on your favorite aged cheese, you can freeze it for a few months without affecting its flavor or texture. Be sure to wrap the cheese carefully and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours before trying to slice or shred it.

When melting chocolate for coatings, truffles or other recipes, always use a double boiler or a Pyrex bowl atop a saucepan partially filled with simmering water, and keep the water at a simmer, not a boil. Boiling water can splash into the chocolate or allow it to get too hot, which can cause it to seize or become grainy.

To check and see if biscuits, cakes, cornbread, muffins and other bread-like foods are finished, insert a wooden toothpick into the center. If there are any crumbs or batter stuck to the wood when you remove it, pop the food back into the oven for a few minutes to allow it to finish.

For the best texture and mouth-feel, always slice meats against the grain. This method cuts through the muscle fibers and results in a more tender texture, whereas meat sliced with the grain can be chewy or overly tough. Beef or pork roasts, steaks, loins and chops tend to benefit most from this treatment, although it’s a good method for cutting turkey and chicken, as well.

It is a well known fact, as stated above in the article, that there has been a resurgence in cooking at home. Going out to eat can be nice, but nothing beats good home-cooking. A family meal is one of the best gifts you can give your family. By using the tips in this article, you can give even more good cooking to your family.

Help Bully Problems 10 points?

So last Tuesday I was having a good day and I went into my gym locker room to change. I opened my locker and there was a half eaten pizza in my locker. Somebody had stuffed a pizza through the holes in my locker. I thought it was just a lazy person stuffing pizza into a random locker. Well I was wrong. On Wednesday this week there was soup in my locker SOUP I was about to cry. I told my gym teacher and he said there was nothing he could really do. So after school I told my literacy teacher who I know had a bad day because she came into the classroom an hour late and crying and I told her about it. She gave me a hug and said that she would talk about it in her meeting. So now every teacher in my 7th grade knows. The administration office knows and student services knows. All of these people are trying to help me but it didnt stop them from doing it again because there was a granola bar in my locker today. I am having bad dreams that keep me awake all night. Two years ago I was bullied and it didnt upset me this much. Is it hormones that is making me so much more upset than it did 2 years ago? I really need help on how to sleep better and how to deal with it. All my friends are helping me and my literacy teacher is helping me. So thank you and tell me as much as you can on how to sleep better and deal with this problem. Thank You :
